 The 10th Anniversary - Hands On event will be held October 1, 2012 and is a special event to honor breast cancer survivors at The Total Works SalonSpa. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and we are committed to fighting breast cancer hands on. The Total Works’ staff has donated their time to give the survivors hands on treatment to soothe and rejuvenate their bodies and souls. You are invited to include yourself, your friends or family members and take part in this year’s ninth annual event by sponsoring a survivor or by making a donation. Please take this opportunity to show your support and join us in the fight against breast cancer.
The 10th Anniversary Hands On event on October 1, 2012 will benefit the Kim Rowden Breast Cancer Memorial Fund. Kim Rowden lived three years after being diagnosed at the age of twenty-five with breast cancer. She lived her life to the fullest and touched the hearts of so many people. Kim possessed many talents, but the greatest of all was her ability to inspire everyone she met, including the medical staff that fought to save her life. Kim’s memory lives on in the lives of the people she helps save. Through medical research, her breast cancer played a vital role in the detection of the BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 genes, the only breast cancer genes as of yet identified. Kim’s deep faith gave hope to all she encountered through her special embrace on life. The non-profit fund of the Mercy Health Partners Foundation’s mission is to provide breast screenings and treatment for women without financial resources.
When you sponsor a breast cancer survivor, they will be treated to a special day at The Total Works SalonSpa. A $60 donation per survivor is suggested to the Kim Rowden Breast Cancer Memorial Fund.

We will contact your survivor to schedule their service of choice prior to the event. Hors d’oeuvres, beverages and live music will be provided. AVEDA products will be available for purchase by check or credit card only.
In addition to sponsorships, donations will make this day special for our survivors.
